Green Square Library and Plaza international competition
Site studio submission was selected to be in the second round, having had a unique approach that freed up the entire site area to be used as a plaza by the public. The library was akin to a wharf or a bridge structure inspired by theold bridge over sheas creek that existed here when the area was a swamp and creek tributary to Botany bay . The wharf followed the old Sheas creek bed, some of which was proposed to be uncovered as water features in the plaza. The building was to be the epitome of green sustainable design
