New Work
My most recent works have been directly related to an interest in Geo-mesh fabrics that Architects and surveyors use to describe the layout of the land. Drawing the ‘Geo-mesh’ lines with steel and presenting them to the public in sculptural form, may evoke a sense of reflection about the site and how urbanization may have changed the landscape. This notion of seeing the bare bones of a site draws inspiration from early drawings and images of Sydney, and how these images evoke a feeling of loss, or sometimes the opposite...Possibilities of more sensitive development.
